Chris Johnson Deal Signed Thursday

Staff Report July 22, 2010

Titans running back Chris Johnson has officially signed a restructured contract which will pay the All-Pro running back around $2.5 million dollars for the 2010 season.

A league source told ProFootballTalk.com that Johnson signed the new deal on Thursday.  His pay will be increased in light of escalator bonuses which would have taken effect later in the contract.  News of the new deal leaked early this week but could not be officially confirmed until Johnson signed the contract.

The compromise officially ends Johnson's holdout from the team's offseason workouts.  Titans players report to Baptist Sports Park on July 30 for training camp.
